Cheryl uses her camera to engage us in complex ethical issues of imaging. A television screen of subtitled news footage (global political and economic relationships) becomes a representation of representation. The folds of the bedding indicate a person in the room yet deftly avoids constructing a particular identity. These are large suspended pieces of photographic paper, the impersonal interior of a hotel room, an anywhere place.
