Phosphorescent paint, wood, floodlights, PIR movement sensors

On entering the space, a viewer is faced with complete darkness except for box shaped lines glowing in the dark delineating the space. 

 

As a viewer reaches a certain position in the space, 2 floodlights will be triggered on momentarily to reveal the space as it is, which is bare, except for the lights and the wooden structure painted with phosphorescent paint. After a second, the lights goes off, once again leaving the viewer in darkness.
